ExHale is used for monitoring at two stages of a bed bug job:

• Inspection and pre-monitoring: a clear yes or no on the first visit, instead of a return trip.

• Post-treatment monitoring: run it again before closing the job. Activity means the job is not finished, silence means it is.

ExHale releases CO₂ and kairomones over time, simulating human presence and drawing bed bugs out of their hiding places.

Place the dispenser on the floor, 1 to 2 metres from the bed, sofa or suspected harbourage, facing the most infested areas.

Close the room and shut off unnecessary airflow. Keep the dispenser away from windows and ventilation outlets.

For a normal room of about 15 m², we recommend one spray every 5 to 6 minutes, running from 23:00 to 03:00.

In larger or furnished rooms, shorten the interval. The aerosol will then be used faster.

The Dispenser 2.0 can be programmed with up to three periods in one night, but no period can run past midnight. For an overnight run, set two periods: 23:00–23:59 and 00:01–03:00. The Dispenser 2.0 user manual on the Support page shows how.

One ExHale aerosol (184 ml) gives approximately 80 to 90 sprays. On the recommended setting, one spray every 5 to 6 minutes from 23:00 to 03:00, it lasts up to two nights.

How long it lasts depends on the interval you set. A shorter interval uses the aerosol faster.

No. ExHale draws bed bugs out of their hiding places, but it does not catch them.

Always pair ExHale with quality traps or interceptors, or a visual inspection. Check the traps the next morning.

Before you start

• Close the room, turn off air conditioning and shut off unnecessary airflow.

• Keep the room temperature above 20°C (68°F) so bed bugs stay active.

• Place traps or interceptors around the room.

During use

• Let ExHale run for at least one night. Heavier infestations may need a second night.

• Nobody needs to be on site.

After use

• Turn off the dispenser and remove the aerosol before transport or storage.

• Store away from direct sunlight.

Safety

• The aerosol is extremely flammable. Do not use near open flames or other sources of ignition.

• Never point the dispenser towards yourself or anyone else.

• Follow the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and local regulations.
